Back by popular demand is a third edition of our Perimeter Fun Run, a drive in the area around Fort Walker (formerly A. P. Hill) and through Central Eastern Virginia between Bowling Green and end at the Prince Street Cafe at Hobbs Hole in Tappahannock. We'll check out some new roads as well as some that have been enjoyed during previous drives.
Here's the plan:
We'll gather at 2:30 P.M. in the parking lot of Sampson’s Motor Cars located at 268 N Main St. in Bowling Green. After check-in and the participants meeting, the first group will depart at approximately 3:30.
The drive will end at Prince Street Cafe (1267 Hobbs Hole Dr, Tappahannock Va.). We should arrive for dinner around 5:30. It'll be buffet style and everyone will pay your own tab.
The registration deadline is May 15. There is a nominal fee of $5 for the Fun Run. Please indicate if you will be joining us for just the drive, just the restaurant, or both, and the number of people who will be dining in your group. There is limited seating in our reserved restaurant area so please register as soon as possible.
Both paper route instructions and Ride with GPS will be available.
We look forward to seeing you, and your Porsche, on May 18 for this enjoyable drive and afternoon with friends. Remember, “It’s not just the cars, it’s the people.”
