FSR Williamsburg to Smithfield Fun Run

Join your FSR friends on Saturday August 5th or Sunday August 6th for a drive through the back roads of southeastern Virginia, including a ferry ride across the James River, ending at the Smithfield Station Restaurant in Smithfield Va. As usual for an Ed Merry fun run, expect lots of twisty back roads on the 70 mile tour.
Saturday, 5 August: On Saturday we will start from the Carrot Tree Kitchen at 1303 Jamestown Rd in Williamsburg after the scheduled Williamsburg area breakfast. If you are not joining the group for breakfast, please arrive by 10:45AM for check-in. After the Drivers Meeting at 11:30, the first group of cars will depart at 11:45 for a drive of a little over two hours.
Sunday, 6 August: If you are not able to make it out on Saturday morning, we will be repeating the drive on Sunday afternoon from Carrot Tree. Check-in will start at 1PM, Drivers Meeting at 1:40, and the first group will depart at 2:15.
Both drives will end at the Smithfield Station Restaurant at 415 Church St in Smithfield for lunch on Saturday, or an afternoon snack or early dinner on Sunday. Everyone will order from the menu and pay your own tab.
The registration deadline is 2 August 2023. Please indicate which day you will be joining us. Also tell us if you will be doing just the drive, just the restaurant, or both, and the number of people who will be dining in your group.
Both paper route instructions and Ride With GPS will be available.
We hope you can join us on August 5th or 6th for what is sure to be an interesting trip to a favorite location.
