***Annual Tech Inspection: Will be available this weekend and we encourage you to take advantage of it***
DRIVER ELIGIBILITY: The Driver School is open to all valid SCCA members with or without a novice permit.
Introducing the Race Experience Program
New for 2026, the Race Experience option welcomes drivers who want to participate without committing to a specific SCCA class or competition license. This pathway is ideal for drivers who:
Have a properly prepared production-based car
Want to experience real SCCA racing without class-specific requirements
Are exploring whether to pursue full licensing
Cars that meet all required safety standards but do not conform to a defined SCCA class will be issued a logbook identifying them as Race Experience Cars. These vehicles must originate as production cars and fall within performance limits—roughly capped at the pace of a Corvette. Faster or purpose-built cars (Formula, GT, tube-frame, etc.) must meet their respective SCCA class rules. See more information here 2026 Drivers School Press Release
Drivers with valid SCCA Full Competition, Novice license holders that have completed the school or approved full competition license from any organization listed in GCR App.C.2.8.B may enter the Driver School with the approval of the Chief Steward prior to submitting entry. All Drivers School students must complete the Central Division Road Racing Online Drivers School. Information on how to access this online school can be found here On-line Drivers School Instructions
****All Drivers School students must complete the Central Division Road Racing Online Drivers School***
To help experienced drivers recognize the novice drivers, it is required that the novice driver must place at least one (1) - contrasting color "X" that is a minimum of 12" tall on the back of your race car. Chief Steward can be reached at : mbeaumia91@att.net
