First Settlers Western Breakfast is back and it's going to be a Whale -Tailgate!

Please join us on Saturday August 8th for our first breakfast in Richmond since wintertime. We'll gather in the parking lot of Joe’s Inn Bon Air, 2616 Buford Rd in Richmond.

In the face of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will offer a two stage event. We will gather in the parking lot at Joe’s Inn at 9AM for socially distanced and mask wearing Porsche discussion. We will not be offering food or drink in the parking lot. Please bring whatever beverages and food you might like with you. If you wish to eat indoors or get takeout from Joe’s Inn, you can do so when they open at 10 AM.

At this time, we can't make reservations at Joe’s Inn for our group, as they won't re-open until August 1. They indicate that social distancing will be practiced for indoor dining and that face masks will be required for entry. Joe’s Inn will also be offering carry-out for those who do not wish to do indoor dining or bring their own tailgate breakfast.

Please contact Joe’s Inn at (804) 320-9700 if you'd like specifics on the services they'll be offering. As of July 28, there is only a recording announcing the re-opening but more details should be available after they reopen.

Of course, we can’t run an event without accounting for COVID-19 restrictions. Here are the guidelines for this open air breakfast event:

With prevention in mind and to comply with government health rules, we have revised our procedures. Our objective is to systematically reduce the risk of virus infection while still enjoying our cars and each other's company. An FSR working group has carefully examined the most recent Virginia COVID-19 guidelines as well as PCA National guidance in producing these event procedures. Please read the FSR COVID-19 Safety Ground Rules on the next page. You also will be required to acknowledge the PCA Communicable Disease Exposure Waiver before registering, which must be hard copy signed and brought to the event. The CDE Waiver is good until May 2021, so if you have already submitted one at a previous event, you don’t need to re-submit. It’s actually less effort for us (we have to track them) if you only submit once.

Event conduct and requirements are as follows. PLEASE READ:

If you feel ill or are sick or have a temperature of 100.4 or greater, please stay home. If you become sick at the event, you will be asked to immediately leave.
Please bring masks/hand sanitizer with you for all participants in your car.
Please complete and sign the PCA Communicable Disease Exposure (CDE) Waiver for EACH PARTICIPANT before leaving home and bring it to the event. You can download the CDE Waiver at: PCACommunicableDiseaseWaiver202005281.pdf
Completed forms will be collected. For those who have already submitted this waiver at a previous event, you'll be on our master list.
During check-in, all event team members will wear masks and use hand sanitizer. We will ask them to check their temperature that day before leaving home. The registration area will be sanitized before we start.
Check-in will start at 9 AM at the Joe’s Inn Parking. We ask that you park with spaces between cars as much as possible. Observe six-foot social distancing throughout the event and please wear a mask when you're not eating or drinking.
Again, we cannot stress the need for each person to assess their own personal risk of infection. If you feel sick or have a temperature, stay home. If you feel these preparations and procedures are inadequate, please stay home.
